Fri 26th Mar 2021: Intermediate Enamelling

Friday 26th March 2021: 10am to 4pm at the Pavilion, Lechlade Memorial Hall

Join Mark Vardy for this one day workshop to explore more in-depth enamelling techniques on copper using a kiln. Lots of exciting techniques will be discussed and participants will have time to try their hand at many of them.

We will look at counter-enamelling, painting with enamel, cloisonné techniques, wet-laying of enamels and explore plique-a-jour.

Enamels will be freely available to use during the workshop. A starter pack of copper shapes are included and others are available to purchase on the day.

Do come and join us, have some fun, and make a number of unique pieces of enamelled jewellery.

Please wear closed toe shoes and old clothes. Long hair must be tied back.

Mark Vardy founded Silvar Design in 2004. Originally an electronics engineer, Mark is now a silversmith, running workshops in silver jewellery-making and enamelling on copper from his studio in Staffordshire, and appearing in his own TV programmes on Create & Craft. Mark is a qualified adult education teacher.

Cost £60 to include all materials. Please bring refreshments, lunch, personal hand sanitiser and a face covering.
