Weds 8th Sept: Ready, Steady, Sew! Part Two: Next Steps with your Sewing Machine

Wednesday 8th September: 12.30pm to 2.30pm at Lechlade Memorial Hall Pavilion.

Guest tutor Claire Salmon joins us for another fantastic workshop learning more about your sewing machine.

This session moves on a step from the first sewing machine session which was all about setting up your sewing machine ready for action. This time we will be covering four different types of sewing that you can do with your machine – and using some of those accessories that you may find tucked away in the bag of bits that came with your machine, or hidden in the back of the drawer. Mastering these four skills will open up a much wider range of sewing projects for you, including dressmaking and many great craft projects.

Zig- zag and overcasting stitches, buttonholes, zips, using bias binding.

What do I need to bring? Please bring your sewing machine with top thread and a bobbin. It needs to be in working order, but it can be any age, make or type. Your sewing machine manual if you have it- if you don’t have one, please try to contact us in advance with the make and model of your machine. The foot pedal, power cable and accessories or tools that came with your machine – if you have a zip foot, an overcasting (or overlocking) foot and a buttonhole foot please bring these with you. A pair of scissors. All other materials will be provided.

£25 per person.

Please bring refreshments, personal hand sanitiser and a face mask/ covering.

Booking & Cancellation deadline: 24th August 2021
