Sat 2nd Oct: Willow Bird Feeder
Saturday 2nd October: 10am – 12.30pm at Lechlade Memorial Hall Pavilion
Create an organic form with Willow to make an ornate bird feeder for your garden. Learn to weave using sculptural techniques with guidance from Zoe Bate from Luna Loves Willow.
Zoe has been working as a tutor and community artist for the past 15 years across Gloucestershire, in many art disciplines. She has worked teaching community groups, hospice patients, families, schools and corporate team days.
She decided to specialise in willow 4 years ago when she settled on the outskirts of Stroud and started a family.
After qualifying as a photographer in 1999 from Plymouth Art College she worked as a photographer but found that she wanted to break free of 2 dimensional work and allow the movement of 3D work to take shape. Willow is her preferred medium and she creates works using the flexible sticks to sketch and create design in sculptural form.
Zoe loves sharing her passion with others and her workshops are always fun and relaxed. “I love that moment when a person gets that spark of excitement creating something themselves. The connection between brain and hands. My main pleasure in teaching is helping others to feel confident in themselves and lift their mood. That feel good factor! Which is why I love my work with Hospices and out in the community meeting new people.”
Cost £35 to include all materials. Please bring refreshments and lunch.
